LMG is a member of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK and with its Spanish speaking team is able to provide Spanish companies wishing to operate in the UK with the comfort to know that they can deal with an advisor who is familiar and knowledgeable about the accounting/legal requirements of the new market that they are about to venture into. This helps to avoid many of the potential pitfalls facing many companies investing abroad, whilst communicating with them in their mother tongue.
LMG maintains a regular dialogue with our clients' Spanish HQs, reporting on the progress or otherwise of their UK venture and acting as ‘ the eyes and ears' of the Spanish company in the UK (i.e. the traditional ‘hombre de confianza' in the UK).
In addition to providing the traditional audit, accounting and taxation services required for the UK company, LMG provides additional ‘added value' services such as acting as joint cheque signatory on bank accounts, attendance at meetings with parent company staff to report on feedback of management performance, involvement on feedback in salary discussions etc.
Furthermore, as well as being the company accountant, LMG often acts as the pivotal advisor coordinating all professional advice required by the UK company and referring matters as appropriate to tax specialists, lawyers etc and distilling the advice received and reporting back to the mother firm in a manner which is understood by all, often needing not just translation skills but also being able to understand and explain the differences in requirements and results between how things are done in Spain as against the UK.
